GA Systems Safety Management Research
Description
This project, through the Center for General Aviation Research (CGAR), is to study the background of Safety Management Systems (SMS) as it pertains to general aviation (GA), and to determine the feasibility of establishing an Aviation Safety Information Analysis and Sharing (ASIAS) program for GA (ASIAS-GA). The research team will: examine SMS as it relates to GA, determine what data sources and tools are available to GA and, informed by those findings, conceive of a framework for ASIAS-GA including a governance structure.
